Silver Train was envisioned as a layered world inspired by the quieter indulgences of Indian royalty — where opulence revealed itself through detail rather than display. That idea guided not just one artwork, but the entire space.

Across the venue, we worked through multiple artistic layers. One key artwork brings together custom wallpaper, hand-painted elements, plates, fans, and sculptural details — composed to feel like a private glimpse into royal leisure rather than a single focal wall. Alongside it, the bar artwork takes on a different role — a bold 3D piece that anchors the space while still belonging to the same narrative.

Texture became essential to the storytelling. Instead of treating walls as backdrops, we treated them as surfaces of expression — adding depth and materiality so the art extended beyond frames and into the space itself. The intention was always to make the environment feel crafted, not decorated.

The stories that shaped the artwork come from the more unexpected corners of royal life. A Maharaja using a priceless diamond as a paperweight. A king hosting a grand wedding for his dogs. Subtle, almost absurd gestures of wealth that revealed opulence effortlessly.

SPACE

La Panthera is not just a restaurant; it’s a den of Modern European delights. Our mural doesn’t just decorate the walls; it whispers tales of chic European sophistication. Stretching across a vast expanse of the room, it’s not just art; it’s a bold proclamation of courage, strength, and passion.

VISION

Our client didn’t just want a place to dine; they craved an atmosphere dripping with power and elegance. So naturally, we infused our design with a dash of courage and a pinch of untamed spirit. Those two central circles? They’re like the yin and yang of wildness, offering a dual perspective on the raw power simmering within.

DESIGN

In this modern art piece, we embrace the mid-century European aesthetic of Baroque art, renowned for its capacity to incorporate boundless details while retaining an element of ambiguity and irregularity, echoing the notion of finding beauty within imperfections. While the colors serve as a major focal point, it’s the intricate details that command attention. Our deliberate selection of muted greys punctuated with vibrant accents of orange and yellow yields a fascinating composition, infusing the restaurant’s ambiance with a touch of sophistication.

The overall setting imagines a private, closed-off backyard — a space of leisure, removed from ceremony and spectacle. To support this, we moved away from traditional earthy palettes often associated with medieval India, choosing instead a softer powder blue base layered with greens and hints of yellow. Silver accents run through the space, adding a quiet sense of elegance.

Threaded through the artwork is a train track — inspired by a model train once commissioned by a king in Gwalior to run across his dining table, carrying drinks and food to delight his guests. Exotic animals once kept as royal pets — tigers, white elephants — appear within the composition, woven into the narrative rather than placed on display.

At the centre sits the Silver Train logo, engraved onto a silver platter — grounding the artwork while staying true to the theme.

Silver Train offers a quieter glimpse into a world shaped by detail, indulgence, and intention.
