Zaworks’ latest project, “The Little Easy”, is a one-of-a-kind speakeasy restaurant that brings the magic of the 80s alive. Inspired by the retro vibe of the era known for its unforgettable parties and music, this space is designed to make you feel like you have walked into an exclusive, invite-only party straight out of the 80s.

The 80’s were a time when these parties were the heart of the culture. People dressed to the nines, sporting big, styled hair, attending iconic retro themed parties, dancing the night away to funky jazz music with their bold moves- it was an entire lifestyle. They came together not only to dance and enjoy but it was their way to socialise and connect. For Little Easy, we wanted to capture that exact vibe. Our idea was simple: to recreate the essence of 80s parties- socializing, dancing, and just living in the moment.

VISION

The 1980s parties were known for their energetic vibe, over-the-top outfits and funky jazz music- and that is exactly what we aimed to showcase through our immersive art. We wanted everyone to feel like they have just walked into an invite-only party from the 80s.

DESIGN

To bring this retro mural to life, we divided the artwork into seven panels- each of which depicted the theme perfectly and told the story of what went down inside these invite-only exclusive events. Scenes of live music, romantic dancing and socialising painted in bold colors amp up the appeal of the palace and its nostalgic vibe.

The Mural spans across 7 panels, each panel carefully designed to capture a slice of the theme- artists performing live cabaret, couples dancing soulfully to it, other people connecting, sharing a laugh and socialising in various ways, essentially making the artwork come alive. Each element was painted meticulously to create an immersive experience for the customers of the restaurant. We used bold colors to reflect the energy of the retro theme and add more character to the mural.

The smallest details were perfected with final touches like a sparkling silver disco ball overhead and complimentary jazz music in the place- thus evoking the feeling of nostalgia and transporting the customers right back to the 80s. Overall, it’s intended to make you feel like you are part of the mural and have stepped into an iconic, mysterious, event.
