SPACE
The Tamari Wall Mural, created by Zaworks across 3 walls in the restaurant was designed keeping in mind the cozy 100 sq.ft. space and crafted to provide a visual breathing room in the intimate ambience. This project was brought to life using acrylic paints to give a rich finish.
VISION
The mural uses a modern design approach inspired by the Tamari logo. With a “double impression” style of writing, it blends Japanese and English text in a minimalistic, linear format, highlighting the essence and signature style of Tamari. The color palette which is limited to black, blue, red, and orange is in sync with the minimalism and keeps it in-line with the brand colors which is an important aspect of the vision. These clean style elements keep the artwork from being too overpowering for the cozy space. The spotlight is kept constant on Japanese cuisine, taking inspiration from the dishes served here, particularly their signature dish- sushi tacos.
DESIGN
Inspired by the unique ingredients and dishes of Japanese cuisine, the design is centered towards the items served at Tamari. The main wall features a captivating illustration of ramen bowl, sushi taco, etc. which are their specialties. Yet another central aspect of the artwork is the Tamari logo which is displayed in their double impression writing style, thus staying on track with the overall theme. This eye-catching artwork is a compilation of all these individual elements symbolic to the Japanese Culture and the restaurant- making it a factor that enhances the dining experience of people visiting.
